Thanks for tapping in to The Life N Times Network !
This weekend saw chaos in both cages and rings as the UFC heavyweight bout ended in a no contest after an eye poke halted the action, leaving the title picture unsettled. In boxing, the night flipped when the British contender scored an eleventh-round TKO to seize the WBO interim belt, marking a clear shift in heavyweight momentum.
Happening, it's LA LA. The fight number 57. Listen, UFC 321 has just passed. A lot of things happen. I bet a lot of money. I didn't get the opportunity to win a lot of money. Now, initially I was disappointed. Initially I was upset. Initially I said, Tom, why don't you continue on? But as I reflect, as I prospect my next betting excursion and how the odds are looking now, I still want Tom to finish that fight. I'm sorry. But I don't know. It's really up in the air, right? It was an egregious foul. I think I agree with Chel Sonan. We need a DQ when it's that level of fight changing and that egregious of a foul. Now, if people don't know, Cyril Gain and Tom Espinall were the main events. The coming, McKenzie Dern. She got her belt. Way Lee vacated that weight class, and Dern is the champion. It was a great fight back and forth. She had better hands. She had better. This is the first time I've seen somebody create enough damage on the ground that the person just let them up. She was creating enough damage off of her back that her opponent let her up. So shout out to Mackenzie Dern. Shout out to the one in the belt. The straw weight division is very competitive. The card itself wasn't bad, but this Cyril Gahn and Tom Espinall, the situation is bad. It's just a bad taste in your mouth. I I thought boxing outdid UFC. And UFC usually doesn't get outdone by boxing. Now, we'll get into boxing later, but let's just talk about it. It looks like the fight was harder than it, you know, we all expected it to be. Tom was getting hit often. He was bleeding. He was under. I think this fight was always competitive. I think Gon and Tom are both unproven fighters at the championship level. And we we have to see what they actually have. Now we give Gon another camp to work on his wrestling, his takedown defense, his jujitsu. We give Tom more time to focus on a ground and striking, you know, a mix, a mesh of the two styles because it kind of looked like he wanted to go out there and strike. And Cyril Ghan is world-class. It's entirely different when you're sparring a kickboxing guy who doesn't know much about MMA. Or I believe he does. He does. He knows about MMA. I'll take that back. But he isn't an MMA fighter who also started as a kickboxer. Cyril Gahn is extremely athletic, extremely light on his feet, and he's getting better with stuffing takedowns. As he stuffed takedowns, he was touching Tom, and Tom touched him. It was a back and forth fight. I just wanted to see more. Maybe that's the resounding thing I feel. I wanted more from that fight. I wanted more from that night. I had got up at 10 a.m. It was so like it was like so unsatisfying to finish the night that way. I know both fighters put everything on the line, so I'm not going to be so obtuse and not realize that Tom was egregiously fouled. And I just wish the fight went longer. At the end of the day, I think most fans just wish that. Right? So that's my take on it. I think Gon will do a lot better in the second match. I think Tom has to tighten up his ground and striking and meshing that attack so it's not so obvious. Because it looked pretty obvious. You know, he's gonna go and then boom. And Sarah was there for the whole thing, the whole play. And it felt like the longer that fight goes, the worse it would get for Tom, maybe. He looked like he was huffing and puffing. But these guys are top-level athletes. We will see the rematch. Next fight that's coming up is the big US 322 card. And you already know we will be betting. So tap in. I'll do an episode before the fight to let you guys know what we bet on. I did clean up well off the RDR fight. Shout out to Brandon Allen, Cash Money Records. Bing bing! Tapping in. Tapping in the fight. Now we get to boxing. We have Fabio Wortley versus Joshua Parker. Listen, what a banger. Boxing was now the fight right before it was trash. It was trash. I was like, what the fuck are we doing? What's going on? We gotta stop having co-mains that are like this. It kind of reminds me of the Canelo Crawford co-mane where it was very underwhelming compared to the main event. And the main event was blockbuster action. Fabio Wardly is a live dog with a lot of heart, grit, and toughness. And he earns himself a fan, man. I hit the follow button. I couldn't believe he just overpowered him. He outworked him. He out hustled him. And once he hurt him and knew he could hurt him, he got more confident. And he took more chances. You know, you have to take the chance to be great. And it looks like Fabio Worley is going to be the next one in line to fight Usick. I still got Usyk. I think he's too slick. I think he got too many tricks. And I think he's going to be in and out, dodging all that shit. Like, shout out to Usyk. I don't think anybody beats him if he doesn't show up in the ring old. Now, Fabio Worley is a live dog for 12 rounds. That's the only thing I'm worried about with Usyk. He does get touched. He has been hurt. He can be hurt. These guys are bigger than him. And worldly, you know, Fabio is fast. He's athletic. And he's young and he got a chin. So as long as his chin holds up and he can take those chances, it's going to be a dangerous fight. Shout out to everybody. Tapping in the fight. Episode 57. Life of Times. Network! Tap in in.
