It's Lane LA, the fight, episode 58. Let's get into it. Listen, this was a low-key week of fights, bro. Like, low-key, we had a great week. Like, low-key, all these three events equals one big event. We had DBX, we had Karate Combat, we had UFC Fight Night, Vegas 101. All three cards did not disappoint. I had a good time watching all of these cards. I appreciate everybody getting the bag. Let's appreciate that. I like that fighters have paths outside the UFC. I like that fighters have options outside of whatever combat sport they originally started. All these new leagues being brought up. These guys get options to feed themselves. Speaking of people who wanted to feed themselves, we had Brian Battle out there hungry for KO, gets a TKO in the first round. He fought kill shot. I almost thought Brian was about to get his ass beat, bro. It was a tumultuous affair. I thought he was going to get KO'd. He took a lot of shots. But I think this is the difference in caliber of a UFC athlete versus any other athlete. Like Brian Battle was born for battle. He survived the, you know, the early attack and finished his opponent. Um the guy couldn't get up, and when he got punched again with the follow-up, if he would have kept following up for five seconds, which is the rules, yeah, Brian would have uh done some real damage to that guy. So I think that was justified. What was justified even more was Gabriel Stevenson, Olympic wrestler, stepping his toe into the striking world. He beats Billy Swanson by TKO in the first 15 seconds. Listen, these athletes coming from Olympic backgrounds are different. Look at Kayla Harrison, look at Henry Sehudo, look at even Andre Ward, Floyd Mayweather, Sugar Ray Robinson, people who come from an Olympic pedigree. It's very different. These guys had to learn how to beat the world with one skill set. And now you're giving them more tools to win, and they have such a drive that you can't really beat that. Gable Stevenson looked great. He obviously didn't look like he's a world beater. I think he's gonna get built up by the UFC. I think he's the next heavyweight face for the UFC. I would love to see him in the UFC. I think he has the goods. I think he beats anybody, especially in the heavyweight division. He can beat a lot of people. He can beat a lot of people. Like he is damn near challenging for the belt before he even steps in there because he can beat a lot of these guys. Now, we get into karate combat. We got Uriah Hall. He gets the W against Marcus Perez. Perez got hurt. It was sad to see. But, you know, Uriah Hall was piecing him up before that. So I was on the side of Judges Duddles and UD. Shout out to Uriah Hall. He's a legend. Cosma undefeated Adrian for the, you know, the main event over there at Karate Combat. Like Karate Combat is great if you like striking. Like, if you don't like striking, then you shouldn't be watching Karate Combat. You shouldn't be watching One Championship. You shouldn't be watching bare knuckle DBX. Like, I see people complaining about these sports. But like if you're here for the action, that's where you go, man. Like, I had a good time. Like, I like watching a Muay Thai match, a kickboxing match, a boxing match. Because all these skills, if you're just a casual watcher, right, you can also see how it translates to other fighters. Like, you can clearly see MMA fighter with a wrestling base versus an MMA fighter with a kickboxing, a kicks, a kickboxing base. It's totally different. And uh it's good to see because now you know how to bet. Okay, speaking of bets, we got the big, big fight, big card coming up in two weeks. We will be doing a pre-episode about that, who I'm leaning towards, how I'm betting, and everything like that. If I know you, I'll show you what I've won. If you want to have some fun, you want to bet with us, man. Like it, it's it's really it's different over here. I really don't miss. But uh getting into the UFC card, listen, we had just last week an eye poke stop a main event heavyweight match. We have another heavyweight match as the co-main Waldo versus Auntie. And Waldo gets poked in the eye. Aunty is Tom Aspinell's partner. He before this fight, he said to everyone, I would never poke anybody in the eye. I never did that. I don't know how people do that, and he just did it. Listen, people, stop being hypocritical. Gain made a mistake. Tom did not take the easy way out. Okay? Everybody gets affected differently. Let's try to believe these fighters, besides the ones that are gambling. You know, people are letting themselves be finished. This guy got dropped from the UFC because he let himself get finished in the first round because the odds were good. This is no bullshit. Watch how you bet and who you're betting on. You gotta know like their like financial stances and everything like that, too. Like, shit is wild, bro. Shit is shit is really wild. Because like a fighter could be losing and he can have somebody bet side money to lose a certain way to cash out. So just watch yourself. Just like Auntie should have watched himself, he got the eye poke. He thought he got the knockout. I'm sure he did a drilling dump when he won temporarily, and then Waldo stepped back in. He said he could he could continue, and then he knocked him out. And that's how that's what happens, man. That's what happens. Anything happening in this heavyweight division, it is fucked up, but they are gonna use that against Tom. And listen, man, that is Tom's problem. He has to deal with the heavyweight division. The heavyweight division does not respect Tom right now. Everybody's making jokes. He gotta go out there and fuck somebody up. That's just how it goes. Now, speaking of fucking somebody up and how it goes, Steve Garcia gets David Onama out there and won. Listen, there was a clear, a clear difference in striking. Like, I don't think their skill level should ever be matched up again. He had no answer for Steve's uh controlled aggression, controlled MMA striking, and pretty boxing. He just lit him up. He did nothing, like it was crazy. And David Onama is not a bad fighter. I don't I think he's one of those guys who has to be the hammer because he was the now and he got he got squashed, man. But shout out to everybody tapping in the fight episode 58. We will be betting on the next UFC card. Tap in UFC 322. You already know what we're gonna do. Cashing out every day for you. Tapping in the fight, right?
