It's Layton LA. The fight. Episode 68. Let's get into it. It's boxing. Amanda Tarano gets the dub. Stephanie Hall gets the dub. Stephanie hand, my bad. Listen, it was a great card. Great card. Great card. Female boxing and women's boxing is in an entire new space. They're showcasing, they're headlining. They're putting, they're putting people in the seats. They're creating action. They're creating moments. We are in one of the greatest eras for female fighters. And it's good to see everyone get their shine. Let's talk about the main and co-main. Stephanie Hamm defeats Holly Home round seven. Technical decision. Listen, Holly's coming back from MMA, man. And when you're dealing with so many variables, and then you get back into a singular sport, it's going to be hard. These people have been foxing their whole lives. Holly knows that as well. She is one of the only fighters that's transitioned and became a champion of both sports. So my hat is always going to be off to her for that. I do see why she lost, and I understand how it goes. You know, Holly's little spring chicken. She's getting older. I don't know where she goes from here. I don't know why certain fighters like jump from one sport to another. I think just like when your careers at a certain spot, just relax. Like you're a legend. Champion two sports, world champion. That's insane. Getting it back into the mid-Coe Main fight, Stephanie Hand gets her belt. Listen, champion pedigree, championship boxing, championship timing, championship control of the arena, championship aggression. It was it really shows like boxing is very, very, very, very technical. And if you can't overcome certain gaps, you're just gonna lose. Now, Amanda Serrano is coming off of three losses. I hotly contest the first two against Marshall Taylor. I just I didn't like all the headbutting in those fights. I still think that was a major factor to both of the wins in that trilogy. And I think people I honestly, some of those fights should be overturned, but what can I say? Close fights, right? Close fights, right? This one wasn't close. Amanda Sorando put the beats on her for 10 rounds, UD clean sweep, got the Ring Magazine Federally title. It's uh it's good to see her back in the winning column. She it has been coming off some losses. It's hard to lose to someone consistently and be that close two times. And then that third one was a wash, like she got completely outclassed. And I thought she was gonna lose this fight just coming back from that psychologically, but she overcame that and kept that belt. I just want to see, like, people are saying she's gonna fight Tara Brown, people are saying she might fight maybe Scott Nicholson, maybe Alicia Baumberger. There's a lot of people out there in the division, Caroline Du Bois. That division's red hot. I I can't wait to see what's going on as far as that. There's young champions coming up, there's uh Sebastian's sister coming up as well. So, like the the future of boxing, Commercial Shields is there as well. So, like the future of female boxing is very high. I wish these ladies worked together. Shout out to Jake Paul for just setting up and putting these females in this position because it was unheard of. All these things were unheard of, unsponsored, unsupported, disrespected, unapplauded, and it's just one of the problems in boxing. You know, there's things we can respect in boxing, there's things that we cannot like, but limiting to you know, stopping someone else's opportunity just because of your perception of safety and this and that does not it's not it's not right. And I just I'm glad that the females get this chance to be the forefront because for a long time, female boxing, besides Layla Ali in a couple of situations was very you know lukewarm, like, oh, what are they doing? So it's good to see everybody at the top of their levels. They're getting big checks too, by the way, getting paid at the same level as men as well, which is a big disparity in boxing, just because of tickets and entrance and stuff like that. I would like to see like a tournament, you know. Ria just did a tournament, but I I guess there was females in that tournament, so I have to check that out again. There's a lot of tournaments nowadays, like there's becoming a pipeline for boxers from the beginning stage all the way up to the world stage level, coming out of the Olympics and other programs like that. This is episode 68 of the fight happening.
