Thanks for tapping in to The Life N Times Network !

The weekend didn’t just deliver fights; it delivered clarity. From UFC 325’s finish-fueled chaos to boxing’s clean, surgical work, we track the choices that separated contenders from champions and highlight why a good jab still changes everything. We open with the octagon: the 25k finish bonus turned volume up to eleven, but the smartest performances stood out. Sugarshine played it safe and smart, showing the judges consistent, effective work. BSD made a violent statement while Dan Hooker’s latest setback underscored how unforgiving elite levels can be when gaps on the mat or in timing remain.

It's Lady LA The Fight Episode 73. Let's get into it. We had Blah Blah B Boxing UFC 325. The best only shall survive. Listen, if you're gonna go into MMA because it was a fantastic night, great card. Ever since Dana put in that 25k bounty on a finish, we'd be getting finishes, punches, and bunches from round one. Everybody's getting done. I want to shout out Sugarshine for fighting a safe fight. He fought a safe fight, took no risks, and you have to show the judges what is affecting your opponent. That is why he won. Then we get into BSD. Right? In his W. That was violent, man. Dan Hooker, listen, man. I love one minute scraps. I feel like you should focus on your business. These UFC guys are too high level, too skilled, and you can't keep up. You just he doesn't have the skill set. As soon as it goes on the ground, it's a wrap for that guy. Second fight in the row, he got finished by a higher level fighter. And we're just talking about Dan Hooker losing again. I don't want to talk about that. He's a great guy, great fighter. He has had his moments in the sport, especially that banger with Dustin Portier. He has etched himself in history just with that. Shout out to him and his contributions to the sport. BSD is calling out everybody. I don't think he beats everybody, but he's calling out everybody. It is good to see that in the sport. Moving on to the main event. We got Volk beating Lopez for the second time in a row. Lopez skipped the line over LaRon Murphy and a lot of other top competitors in Volks, you know, division. And it's Volks division, man. It's just like when we get into boxing, it's just like in MMA, your jab sets up your success and your range in a fight. Volks jab, his counter punches and his footwork just was too much in his IQ, in his heart and grit, because he did get dropped. He did see, see, Lopez is gonna catch him, right? But could he finish him? And he never was able to finish. Volk is too savvy, too dangerous, because he hurt Lopez more than once. There's a reason he wasn't just running in there. Lopez is ready. He's just not ready yet. And Volk is old, but he's just not old enough. Shout out to Volkanowski for keeping his belt. True champion at 38. Very reminiscent of Crawford reaching his highest levels at his oldest age. Shout out to Volkanovsky. He is a true champion. LaRon Murphy is headlining a card. We shall see if he wins that fight. I think he should be next in line. I think Volk will be in trouble in that fight because LaRon has IQ and athleticism. I think Lopez just had athleticism, not enough IQ to get in there with a master like Volkanovski. Shout out to the UFC. They've been keeping the momentum up far as keeping the fights. Shout out to Zofa boxing. They had a great card. It was a lot of boxing, a lot of fights, a lot of things to be paying attention to in the spirit of combat sports, episode 73. The fights tap in then. Listen, we're gonna get into Shakur Stevenson versus Tiafimo Lopez. But let's talk about the undercard as well. Keyshawn Davis showing up and showing out round 12 KO seconds left on the clock. Absolute cinema. That is boxing. That is New York. That is the MSG. It was fantastic to see Keyshawn Davis get back into fighting shape, get back to doing what he's put here on earth to do. Because I really feel like he is an entertainer, a fighter, and a true champion inside and outside the ring. I think he's beaten his biggest demons outside the ring. And now we get to see the greatest heights that he can reach. The 140 division should be on notice. The 147 division should be on notice. Spectacular talent and a silver medalist. The gold medalist that Beat Up just lost. The pros are different. Now, speaking about different, Shakur Stevenson is different. He is a neutralizer, he is an abuser of bad habits. He will discipline you. He will put you in your room. You will go all time out. You can't come out here. You can't cross this line. You can't cross this street. If you do, I'm hitting you. If you do anything I don't like, you will get a response. Response that you do not like. Back. Tia Fimo is undisputed champ who beat Lomachenko. He made him look pedestrian. And you know why? The Jab. If you control the range, you control the fight. If you control the fight, you can domesticate your opponent into a glorified sparring match, which Teofemo became. And he almost got knocked out, and he did get hurt several times. And he left out there bl bl he left out there bloodied and bruised. Completely. His father failed him in the corner, probably failed him in the training camp. And that's why a lot of people leave their fathers in these boxing camps. Floyd left his father. Roy Jones Jr. left his father. Floyd and them got back together, but they all left their fighter, their father, because of the tensions and what is needed. We just seen another father-son duo lose, you know, with Devin Haney's opponent, Brian Norman and his father. So it's all about who is in your corner. I don't have any problem with somebody being motivation, but if they become a distraction, they gotta get out the way. That's what Teo Fimo's dad looked like. We're getting info after the fight that he was in there by himself, getting obsessed by the medical staff, and Shakur felt bad for him. Shakur, the four-weight champion at 28 years old, very young to accomplish that. He's in the company of the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Jolla, Floyd Mother, Floyd Money Mayweather. It's crazy to see where he's at and what can happen if you just lock in and sign that dotted line. I love that he chastised and exposed Connor Ben for taking that weight clause drain against Eubank Jr., the older fighter. Insane. He walked in there and he fought a corpse and beat a corpse, and we're supposed to clap that shit up. We're supposed to think he's gonna beat anybody with some class. I think him and Roli is a 50-50 fight. Him and Shakur is a 95-5 fight. You still gotta give him a puncher's chance. But I'm telling you this, man. Shakur don't give you a chance. He takes all chances away. I don't know who can beat him. I don't want to see him in there with Abdullah. Abdullah's too young. Sam Noakes exposed that because that clinch work, sloppy Joe. Can't wait to see what happens with Shakur Stevenson, Alex Volkonowski. Combat Sports in a general is in a fantastic space. Shout out to DBX. They had an event that was crazy. Shout out to Zoo for boxing. They had an event that was insane. Shout out to Josh Taylor. Tough, gritty win boxing. It was fantastic to see that. He got dropped. He dropped his opponent. He outboxed his opponent. It's the same guy that gave Tim Zoo fits. Styles make fights. Shout out to Zayas for being the youngest 20, you know, one of the youngest unified champs out there. So there was a lot of boxing, a lot of combat sports, and it's gonna be more. And I'm gonna cover it. The fight 73. Thank you for tapping in. It's later.
