Late Night Intro And Card Setup

SPEAKER_00

It's Late LA. The fight, episode 88. Life is great. Child to Nate. Never a mistake. The fight, the fight, the fight. Boh, blah, blah. Boxing. Listen, we had Daniel Du Bois versus Fabio Wardley. But let's talk about the undercart until we get into the main cart. Listen, we had some dog fights. Some dog fights. Some good matchmaking. And exactly what we want in the sport of boxing. Boxing's on fire. There's an event every week. There's so much boxing happening that I can barely keep up with it because there's another event right after. Now, the start of the main card of the Danny Du Voice versus Family Award League fight was Fakador versus Agron. Jaloff won after round seven. It is great. It is great, great action. British cards do not disappoint ever. Now we have Khalil Majid versus Gavin. It was a tough fight. Back and forth fight. He got the win. You know, it was a decision. It was a little bit lackluster, but exactly what it is when it's such a contentious fight. Shout out to him for getting the W. Now, this is the night of upsets. I saw this live. Now, we had Zach Chile versus David Morrell. This is the sport of boxing. One punch can change every single thing. It can change your life. Today, Zach, that day, that night, Zach changed his life for one punch. This is the quintessential, this is the reason people watch boxing. This is why people like it. One punch can change everything. David Morrell was winning that fight comfortably. Before he got knocked out, I had him up and I stopped watching. I was like, oh, he's just gonna dance around. And here's the thing: if you can cut off the ring and if you can hurt your opponent, it doesn't matter how much they're dancing around. Sooner or later, they're gonna get knocked out. See, a lot of things, there's a lot of things in David Morell's character that created this problem for himself. You know, he's coming from Cuba, they got a high-level amateur background, and sometimes, and a lot of times, their fighters, when they first come out, they are very amateurish in their style, right? They know how to win win, they know how to win rounds, they know how to get points. But here's the thing in professional boxing, when it's not for the Olympics, when it's not any headgear, when it's not anything but for stakes. I want to change my life. This fight can change my life. I'm in here, I'm ready to die for it. David Morrell got caught in the 10th round, and it was crazy to see because he is well ahead on the cards, outboxing his opponent, playing with his opponent. And this is what happens, man. And this is why I don't care that Shakur stays behind his jab. Anything can change in this sport with one singular punt. Now, David Morrell, a two-time champion, world champion, has now lost to Zach Chile, who has changed his entire life for his family and his countrymen. It was a great thing for the UK fighters to get a win like that. It was great to see the heart and determination out of the fighters in that retrospect and on this card. Now we get to Bradley Ray versus Liam Cameron. He knocks him out. KO, TKO, easy fight, crazy fight, back and forth for as long as it lasted. It was violent on both ends. Even the guy who got knocked out, Liam, before he got knocked out, he was landing leather and he had an ego. He was ready to win. He didn't come in there to lose, but he got dropped, he got knocked out, and Ray won the fight. Moving on to the co-main event, we got Jack versus Esko. No, Echo Eselman. And Rafferty won by stoppage round six. The guy was landing punches and bunches, too much damage. The fighter he fought was 37. He's 30, I believe. It was all leaning towards him already. I am a fan of Esaman, the engine. He's a great guy. I got exposed to him on a couple other UK cars. I watch enough UK cars and I'm starting to understand and get the culture of fighting over there. So like they don't discard their champions when they lose. They actually get more acclaim and respect when they fight as hard as possible. So shout out to the UK fans and the UK crowd for uplifting fighters, no matter if they win, lose, or draw. Now, going to the main card, going into the main event, Daniel Du Boys versus Fabio Worldly was every single thing we asked for it to be. The headline on the card was don't blink. And if you blinked, you missed probably one of the best heavyweight matches I have ever seen in a while. Shout out to Daniel Du Boys. He was dropped twice, once in the first round, and then the second, and then another time in the third. He got up twice to defeat Fabio Wortley by TKO in round 11. Now, let's talk about coaches. Let's talk about corners. There's a lot of damage that Wortley took that he shouldn't have taken. There's a lot of punches that Wardley threw that he could have disguised his way into a knockout of Daniel Dubois. But because he couldn't change the delivery system of his violence, of his attack, Daniel Du Bois is more polished, more durable, and more prepared for a big moment like this. People call Daniel Du Bois a quitter. He can never be called that again. There's a lot of people talking down on this man's name after losing to Usyk, the best heavyweight, probably of this generation. I don't think he gets through the killers that were in the heavyweight division when Ali was in his prime. Sonny Liston, Ali, Joe Frazier. I don't think he gets past those guys. I think he'll have a lot more trouble with these with those older fighters in that generation than he does this one. Because even though Danny Dubois is great, his pedigree is not as high as Usyk's, nor is his boxing ability. So shout out to Danny Du Boys, shout out to Usyk in the heavyweight division. Heavyweight boxing is the most dangerous and most entertaining form of combat sports I have ever seen. Shout out to the competitors, shout out to the UK, shout out to the fight. And um, we made a lot of money. I'm gonna start putting in my predictions for fights. You have seen in boxing, tap in episode 88 The Fight. Tap in.
