A fight can end in one minute, but the mistake that caused it usually starts weeks earlier. We come in late-night and go straight to the UFC main card with a blunt theme: having “more talent” means nothing if you can’t execute when it counts. It's errr late in LA. The fight, episode 98. It's great to be neat. Don't ever make a mistake. It might be too late. Listen, too late, too little. I came, I saw, I did not. Conquer.
We're gonna talk about the Conor McGregor, Max Holloway card. This is probably uh let's talk about what I like. Let's just talk about what I like. Let's get into the main card. Let's start with how good it was. This car starts off with Kent Green versus Terrence McKinney. We all knew it was gonna end in round one. We just didn't know how. Terrence McKinney looked like he was gonna win. Thought he had it. I thought he was gonna make it to the second round, but the ref called it at the last second, round one. Shout out to Kent Green. He's been beating a lot of rookies. He's been beating all the younger guys that they put in there to try to get him out of the rankings, out of the UFC, out of, you know, relevancy, honestly. And he turns these kids away every time. Terrence McKinney is a spectacular talent. He is a better fighter to me than Bobby Green, but obviously he cannot execute it. Having the talent does not matter. What are you executing? King Green executed. He got the round one. Take TKO. Shout out to him.
Brandon Barrow, listen, they was trying to feed my man Brandon to the young guns. They were trying to feed King Green to the Young Guns. Now, when they get the gate, they hold it. These are real gatekeepers. No, I don't want to paint anybody as a gatekeeper, but Brandon Barral does not want to be one at all. Shout out to him. He beats Kavanaugh, Rare Necked Choke, round three at 339. Come on, man. Vet moves. Took him into deep waters and sank him. Deep waters and sank. You ever play Battleship? Come on now. I couldn't believe it. But then again, Brandon, he knew it. Shout out to Brandon. Round three.
Stub. Mario Listen, Mario Patista just beat Corey Sanhagen. I'm a big Corey fan. But he got injured during the fight and he got out fought. The wrestling, the striking, far too sharp, far too much for Corey. He's been a contender level fighter for the longest. It's just that he's getting up there. And I think we missed the prime time in which he was going to be his most dangerous. And he had the hardest fights in the UFC. If you really think about it and you look at his career, it was not a lot of building him up once he got into the top 10, top five. He constantly had consistent challenge. I don't want to take away from his loss. I just think he he might be on that edge, right? Like what are where are we going to go? What are we going to do with Corey in five years? Do we really think he can get the belt? I don't think Mario Batista can get the belt. I don't think any those two fighters, I don't think they were going to be in the UFC and in that division long enough to affect the change that they're fighting for, which is said. But that division is stacked. There's a lot of fighters there. Now
we get into party Dolphy. This should have been the main event. If this is the main event and they humbled Connor McGregor and made him co-main, because that's what he deserves at this point in his career. He's an old head. This could have been one of the greatest cards ever. Patty gets the sub in round one and under in 52 seconds, I believe. In the first 52 seconds of round one, BSD is unconscious. I don't know why he shot for the takedown. We don't know why. Everybody knows Patty's one of the most dangerous submission artists in that division besides Charles and fucking Armand. So I don't know why we're shooting takedowns on this guy. I don't believe we should ever do that. I don't know why he gave up his neck to him. I don't know why. After that fight with Justin Gagey, let's try the striking. Is he still confident in his striking? After a fight and a loss, especially by being outstruck and being beaten that way. How is he gonna adapt and change himself mentally and emotionally for the next fight? It's just it's just a bad game plan. I don't know what they set that up for. I don't know. They talked before it. I don't know if VSD's like, I'm just trying to fight, I'm just trying to stay active, I'm just trying to make sure everybody understands that I'm tough and I'm going straight at you, but that shit did not work at all. Patty got the round sub, round one sub in the first 52 seconds. Now, if this would have ended in the first minute, I would be happy because I bet it that way. But of course, it went past a minute, a minute and nine seconds. Kyon
McGregor gets injured, and Max Holloway gets TKO. Listen, man, shit like this fucks up your legacy, bro. This is a part of your highlight tape now. This is a part of your career. You wasting Max time as far as his training can. It's reports to being said that he is he was injured before the fight and he went in trying to cover up and mass his injury and this and that. I do not know. I won't say anything as far as that, besides that it's in the air. And you don't want that type of shit in the air. To be honest, like I really only wanted to see the fight so broke and get fucked up. I think it would be the amazing karma as far as the horrendous things that he's been a part of outside of the ring. And that's a big thing that people aren't talking about. And we'll
talk about Conor McGregor, UFC, all this stuff. These guys are a right-wing company. If you don't like what they put out, don't consume it. If you are surprised that they are doing these things, stop. Like it's just basic logic. This company is going to promote this. They have a budget for it. They have marketing behind it. People give them dollars so it makes sense. If you're liberal, left-winged, uh, left wing, or anything like that, the UFC doesn't need your coin. So they don't have to cater to you. I don't understand like complaining to a group of people that don't like you. You don't see me at a KKK meeting. It just don't make any sense. Shout out to the fights, shout out to the fighters who aren't pieces of shit out the ring. But that's what it is. Like I'm here to watch the fight. I don't really care what they do out the ring, especially because I can't stop them. I can't change it. And to be honest, the UFC is sponsoring it. Even if we everybody in the world said, hey, we're not watching this fight. Cool. You gonna watch the next one? Maybe who's on this one? So it's subjective, right? Now, should the UFC take fighters out for that type of situation? Of course. Should they not be involved? Of course. But Dana White slapped his wife on camera. It starts at the top.
